Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Design and implement error-correction frameworks for quantum processors
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into scalable systems
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and publish 3+ high-impact papers annually
- Contribute to quantum security standards for post-2026 digital infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development using Qiskit/Cirq
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences/journals
- Proficiency with quantum hardware simulation tools (QASM, Cirq, Quil)
