Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit architectures
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into practical solutions
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our quantum computing curriculum
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Demonstrated experience with quantum simulation tools (QASM, Quil)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
