Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists on R&D projects
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at international conferences
- Prototype quantum software using Qiskit, Cirq, and custom frameworks
- Drive innovation in quantum hardware-software co-design and benchmarking
- Secure patents and intellectual property for novel quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with published papers
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, quantum information theory, and decoherence mitigation
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Track record of securing research grants or industry partnerships
