Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols and quantum error mitigation strategies for practical deployment
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and hybrid classical-quantum systems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and quantum neural networks
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external research funding through grants and partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional collaboration
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 5+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development or quantum system design
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Strong foundation in linear algebra, quantum information theory, and computational complexity
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical solutions
