Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate on quantum machine learning frameworks for 2026 applications
- Lead experiments on superconducting and photonic quantum processors
- Publish research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $500K+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum algorithm development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation (IBM Q Experience)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, etc.)
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for interdisciplinary teams
