Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Design and implement error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Secure and manage federal research grants (DARPA, NSF, DOE)
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals
- Present findings at international conferences like Q2B and IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates and interns in quantum computing principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum programming experience with Qiskit/Cirq
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in superconducting qubit architectures or photonic quantum systems
- Track record of securing federal research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware operations
