Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for near-term quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and top-tier conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead quantum computing bootcamps
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit architectures
- Develop patentable intellectual property with commercialization potential
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Proven track record of securing major research grants
- Strong publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting and ion-trap quantum systems
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for diverse stakeholders
