Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical quantum models into practical applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance quantum processor stability
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and at international conferences
- Collaborate with industry partners to prototype quantum solutions for real-world challenges
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Proven expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing or physics journals
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and assembly-level quantum languages
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding (NSF, DoE, or similar)
- Experience mentoring graduate-level researchers
