Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, machine learning, and simulation problems
- Lead experimental research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum software interfaces and toolkits
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Drive quantum computing applications in cryptography, drug discovery, and financial modeling
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development strategy
- Stay at the cutting edge of quantum computing advancements through continuous learning
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong foundation in quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and information theory
- Demonstrated research output in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and high-performance computing frameworks
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
