Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning problems
- Lead experiments in superconducting qubit systems with 99.9% fidelity targets
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with IBM Q/Google Quantum
- Expertise in Qiskit/Cirq and quantum circuit optimization techniques
- Published papers in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Strong background in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
