Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing architectures on superconducting platforms
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Secure and manage $10M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Partner with industry leaders to commercialize quantum breakthroughs
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum computing or related fields
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proven track record of securing federal research funding
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Expertise in machine learning integration with quantum processors
