Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning
- Lead quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computations
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical workflows for enterprise applications
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals/conferences
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DOE grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor 3+ junior researchers through quarterly quantum hackathons
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design using Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#
- Published record in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in high-performance computing (HPC) environments
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation strategies
- Experience with quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and statistical mechanics
- Track record of securing government or corporate research funding
