Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research in quantum hardware systems including superconducting circuits and photonic processors
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum applications
- Publish breakthrough research in leading scientific journals and present at global tech conferences
- Secure federal grants and private funding for advanced quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design and quantum circuit optimization
- Published research in Nature, Science, or IEEE journals on quantum computing topics
- Hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Strong programming skills in Python, Qiskit, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerance techniques
- Ability to secure research funding through grant writing and industry partnerships
