Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error mitigation strategies for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Publish high-impact research in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF, DARPA, and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerance architectures
- Publication record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical applications
