Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for error correction and scalability
- Conduct experimental research on superconducting qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations
- Publish findings in leading journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation projects
- Develop proprietary quantum simulation frameworks for industrial applications
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published work in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum journals
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and statistical physics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
