Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting platforms
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and top-tier conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum methodologies
- Patent innovative quantum computing architectures and error-correction techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science or IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Experience securing government research funding preferred
