Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms and error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into enterprise applications
- Publish peer-reviewed research in leading scientific journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proficiency in quantum circuit optimization and tomography techniques
- Strong publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in at least one classical high-performance programming language (Python/C++)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical models into experimental implementations
- Experience with cryogenic quantum system operation a plus
