Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for next-generation quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum computing architectures
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and cryptography
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and develop quantum computing curricula
- Secure research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming with Qiskit/Cirq/Q#
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and linear algebra
- Experience with quantum simulation frameworks (Quil, Q#)
- Strong background in computational complexity theory
- Proven ability to lead cross-disciplinary research teams
- Preferred: Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion systems
