Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum software with emerging quantum processors
- Lead research initiatives in quantum cryptography and secure communication systems
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure federal and private grants for quantum computing research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years of postdoctoral research
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm development (Shor's, Grover's, QAOA)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong publication record in quantum information science or related fields
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance techniques
- Ability to secure research funding through NSF, DOE, or DARPA channels
