Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel error correction protocols for quantum hardware stability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge quantum software-hardware interfaces
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum cryptography
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex systems
