Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting qubits
- Develop error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate quantum acceleration into neural networks
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
- Secure government and private research grants for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum hardware platforms (superconducting, trapped ions, photonic)
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and complexity theory
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and GPU acceleration
- Demonstrated ability to secure NSF/DARPA grants or equivalent funding
