Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise-scale solutions
- Collaborate with hardware teams to advance quantum processor coherence and gate fidelity
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present findings at international conferences
- Secure and manage government and industry research partnerships for quantum initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing education programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of postdoctoral experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design (QAOA, VQE, Shor's algorithm implementations)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks: Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware systems
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, color codes)
- Demonstrated ability to secure and manage research grants exceeding $1M
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams
