Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Lead quantum error correction research for scalable fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Drive industry partnerships with quantum cloud providers
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Strong background in quantum error correction codes
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and assembly-level optimization
- Demonstrated success in securing federal research funding
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
