Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for commercial applications in cryptography, optimization, and AI
- Design and execute experimental quantum computing protocols using superconducting and photonic systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Mentor PhD researchers and cross-functional teams in quantum machine learning
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Secure $2M+ in quantum research grants and industry partnerships
- Drive patent strategy for quantum hardware innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science journals or equivalent
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit optimization
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience leading R&D teams with $1M+ budgets
- Knowledge of quantum hardware platforms (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical research into commercial applications
