Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems in cryptography and materials science
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, mathematicians, and software engineers
- Develop error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants from NSF and DoD quantum initiatives
- Publish 3+ high-impact papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates in quantum methodologies
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum breakthroughs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum system control
