Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and simulation
- Lead cross-functional teams of quantum physicists, software engineers, and domain experts
- Develop 2026 quantum computing roadmap aligned with emerging market needs
- Secure patents and publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals
- Build strategic partnerships with quantum hardware providers
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum computing best practices
- Present findings to C-suite executives and industry stakeholders
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm development with published results
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proven track record of leading technical research teams
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
