Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with physicists to calibrate and maintain quantum processors
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Document findings in technical publications and patent applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 3+ years experience considered)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with quantum circuit optimization and noise mitigation
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Publication record in quantum computing or theoretical physics
- Familiarity with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
