Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum circuits using Qiskit, Cirq, and custom frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum software with cryogenic processors
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Mentor junior engineers and publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science journals
- Drive open-source contributions to quantum computing ecosystems
- Present quarterly progress to C-suite and venture capital partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm development or quantum hardware integration
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical languages (Python, C++)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement, superposition, and Bell inequalities
- Experience with quantum annealing systems (D-Wave, Rigetti) or superconducting qubits
- Proven ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical business solutions
