Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum processor architectures for 2026-scale commercial deployment
- Develop quantum error correction protocols achieving >99.9% fidelity
- Lead integration of quantum systems with classical HPC infrastructure
- Collaborate with materials scientists to engineer novel qubit substrates
- Create roadmaps for quantum advantage in cryptography, optimization, and simulation
- Secure $10M+ in R&D funding through DOE/NASA partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years experience with superconducting or photonic qubit systems
- Publication record in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, etc.)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization tools
- Experience securing government quantum research grants
- Patent portfolio in quantum hardware or algorithms
