Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks enabling fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum algorithm optimization for real-world applications
- Create roadmaps for quantum-classical hybrid computing integration
- Secure $20M+ in R&D grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Author white papers on quantum supremacy milestones and ethical AI alignment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in quantum hardware design (superconducting/ion trap systems)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface/colour codes)
- Publication record in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing breakthroughs
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with cryogenic systems and RF control engineering
- Security clearance eligibility for government-contracted projects
