Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum computing architectures for enterprise-scale applications
- Develop novel quantum algorithms to optimize complex computational problems
- Collaborate with physicists to translate theoretical quantum models into practical systems
- Lead integration of quantum processors with classical computing frameworks
- Establish security protocols for quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Research emerging quantum technologies and their commercial applications
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or algorithm development
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (superconducting, ion trap, photonic)
- Strong background in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
