Responsibilities
- Architect scalable quantum computing infrastructure using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Design hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for enterprise optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum hardware-software integration
- Drive R&D initiatives for quantum supremacy applications in cryptography and materials science
- Establish performance benchmarks for quantum annealing systems
- Secure patents for novel quantum architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction protocols and topological qubit systems
- Proven track record in designing quantum software stacks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep knowledge of cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Experience with quantum machine learning frameworks and hybrid computing models
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science journals or IEEE Transactions
- Security clearance eligibility for DoE projects
