Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic qubits
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Create optimization algorithms for quantum machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times
- Lead quantum algorithm implementation and performance benchmarking
- Document architectural blueprints and technical specifications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Engineering (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Excellent problem-solving skills for complex quantum systems
