As part of our Quantum Solutions Division, you'll lead initiatives that bridge theoretical breakthroughs with practical applications. This position reports directly to our Chief Technology Officer and includes budget authority for experimental projects.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with quantum algorithm specialists to optimize hardware-software interfaces
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum applications for finance, logistics, and materials science
- Establish quantum security frameworks for next-generation data protection
- Drive innovation through patent development and peer-reviewed publications
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing curriculum development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and decoherence mitigation
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum annealing and gate-model architectures
- Published research in IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering or equivalent
- Experience leading technical teams with demonstrated project delivery
- Strong knowledge of cryogenic engineering and photonic integration systems
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into stakeholder communications
