Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum neural network architectures for real-world AI applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, ML engineers, and domain specialists
- Develop proprietary quantum algorithms for pattern recognition and predictive modeling
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Author peer-reviewed publications in Nature Quantum and IEEE journals
- Translate theoretical models into scalable production systems with 99.99% fidelity
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-classical hybrid systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computational Neuroscience
- 5+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/ACM)
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane, Qiskit)
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation libraries
- Track record of securing federal research funding
- Deep understanding of decoherence mitigation and error correction
- Strong background in at least one domain: biotech, climate science, or autonomous systems
