Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during overnight hours, including vitals assessment and medication administration
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures in the emergency department
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Coordinate with on-call specialists and nursing teams for urgent patient needs
- Manage patient flow and triage during overnight peak hours
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- BLS certification with current CPR training
- Strong knowledge of EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing overnight priorities
