Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment
- Document patient information accurately in EMR systems
- Handle patient scheduling and triage during night shifts
- Perform basic lab tests and specimen processing
- Collaborate with night nursing team for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Valid Louisiana medical assistant license
