Responsibilities
- Develop and publish annual '2026 Technology Horizon' reports predicting market disruptions
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate futuristic insights into actionable product roadmaps
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and government agencies for trend forecasting
- Design scenarios for ethical AI implementation and quantum computing adoption
- Present findings to C-suite executives and board members through compelling narratives
- Mentor a team of junior futurists and innovation analysts
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding for experimental projects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of accurately predicting technology trends (2018-2023)
- Expertise in scenario planning, system dynamics modeling, and horizon scanning
- PhD in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field preferred
- Published author in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Experience with AI/ML trend analysis tools and data visualization platforms
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from AC/FS or Foresight Practitioner)
