Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Administer injections and medications as directed by providers
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision
- Schedule appointments and handle patient correspondence
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and medical supplies
- Coordinate with insurance providers for billing and verification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred but not mandatory
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Must pass background check and drug screening
