As a key member of our executive strategy team, you'll collaborate with R&D, product development, and marketing to identify paradigm-shifting technologies and consumer behaviors. You'll develop comprehensive future scenarios, validate strategic hypotheses through cutting-edge research, and inspire cross-functional teams to embrace transformative change.
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive technologies and market shifts impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop and publish annual Future State reports with strategic recommendations for product innovation
- Design and facilitate scenario-planning workshops for C-suite executives and board members
- Establish quantitative frameworks to evaluate emerging technologies' commercial viability
- Partner with product teams to integrate future insights into 18-36 month roadmaps
- Represent the company at global futurism conferences and industry thought leadership events
- Mentor junior analysts in futures research methodologies and strategic foresight
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or technology foresight roles
- Proven track record of publishing influential trend reports or scenario studies
- Expertise in futures research methodologies (Delphi, horizon scanning, backcasting)
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies: quantum computing, biotech convergence, AI ethics
- Exceptional storytelling and data visualization skills for complex future scenarios
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Futures Thinking (e.g., from University of Houston)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future strategy implementations
