Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, synthetic biology) to identify disruptive opportunities for 2026 market leadership
- Develop and implement innovation roadmaps aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals and corporate ESG mandates
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Scenarios' workshops with C-suite executives to anticipate paradigm shifts
- Build and manage a portfolio of moonshot projects with $5M+ annual R&D budgets
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich) and government innovation labs
- Present quarterly trend briefings to the Board of Directors using predictive analytics and simulation modeling
- Mentor a team of 8-12 futurists and innovation specialists using Agile methodologies
- Author white papers and keynote presentations at global tech conferences (Web Summit, CES, Davos)
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years experience in strategic foresight or corporate innovation with Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of launching products that shaped markets (3+ case studies required)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (quantum, AI, biotech, or space tech)
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning, System Dynamics)
- Experience managing R&D budgets exceeding $3M annually
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Fluency in predictive analytics tools (Python, R, Tableau) and simulation platforms
