Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market evolution and regulatory trends
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in AI, blockchain, and biotech convergence
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape reviews for emerging tech sectors
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $10M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused allocation
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Mentor junior strategists in future technology forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic tech roles with 3+ in emerging technologies
- Proven track record in launching at least two breakthrough tech products
- Deep expertise in AI/ML frameworks, quantum computing principles, or biotech innovation
- Certified Futurist (CF) or similar foresight certification required
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants and public funding
- Prior experience managing distributed R&D teams across 3+ time zones
- Published research in IEEE or Nature journals strongly preferred
