Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum AI and sustainable computing
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Collaborate with venture capital partners to incubate spin-off startups
- Present strategic insights to C-suite executives and board members
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget across 12+ concurrent projects
- Mentor junior researchers in technology foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or corporate R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching at least two breakthrough technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, or carbon-neutral tech
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Experience securing federal grants and DARPA contracts
- Exceptional analytical and presentation skills with executive audiences
