Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps for quantum, AI, and biotech convergence
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Lead strategic partnerships with academic labs and startups in frontier tech
- Design innovation frameworks for sustainable technology adoption
- Present technology impact assessments to board of directors
- Manage $5M+ R&D prototyping budgets for future-focused initiatives
- Mentor cross-functional teams in future-thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech forecasting
- Proven track record in quantum computing, AI ethics, or biotech innovation
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism
- Experience with scenario planning and technology impact modeling
- Published thought leadership in IEEE Nature or similar journals
- Expertise in ethical frameworks for autonomous systems
- Fluency in technology commercialization pathways
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., ACFS preferred)
