Responsibilities
- Architect 2026+ technology roadmap and innovation pipeline
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech integration)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives from concept to prototype
- Develop strategic partnerships with research institutions and tech pioneers
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to executive stakeholders
- Drive innovation culture through hackathons and thought leadership
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget for future-tech initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains (quantum, AI, AR/VR, etc.)
- MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science/Engineering preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Published research or patents in emerging technology fields
- Experience managing distributed innovation teams across 3+ countries
- Certification in technology foresight or innovation management
