Responsibilities
- Architect 3-5 year technology roadmaps for emerging domains (quantum computing, bio-integrated AI, decentralized infrastructure)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with $2M+ annual innovation budgets
- Conduct horizon-scanning analyses of patent landscapes and academic breakthroughs
- Develop implementation frameworks for futuristic technologies with enterprise partners
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and investor stakeholders quarterly
- Mentor 5-person innovation lab specializing in prototyping bleeding-edge solutions
- Author thought leadership publications in top-tier tech journals
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech domains
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics (PhD preferred)
- Proven track record of launching at least two breakthrough tech initiatives
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Deep understanding of quantum computing, neuromorphic systems, or synthetic biology
- Published research in IEEE Nature or equivalent tier publications
- Experience with global innovation ecosystems (Silicon Valley, Shenzhen, Berlin)
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
