Responsibilities
- Lead research and development of emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, synthetic biology)
- Develop strategic roadmaps for technology integration into commercial applications
- Partner with C-suite executives to align tech initiatives with business objectives
- Secure and manage $50M+ in R&D funding through venture partnerships and grants
- Present findings to stakeholders at global tech summits (Web Summit, CES)
- Build and lead cross-functional innovation labs in SF, Berlin, and Singapore
- Monitor geopolitical tech policies and regulatory landscapes
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years experience in emerging technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching commercialized tech products
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, AGI safety, or biotech convergence
- Strong network with VCs, academic institutions, and Fortune 500 innovation teams
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier publications
- Fluency in Mandarin or German preferred for global collaboration
