Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, AR/VR) with 2026+ impact
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with business objectives and market evolution
- Conduct competitive intelligence and scenario planning for disruptive technological shifts
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype and validate futuristic solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and board members
- Build and manage an external innovation ecosystem including startups, universities, and research labs
- Establish KPIs to measure technology adoption and ROI for future-focused initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of forecasting and implementing future-forward technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, blockchain, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical and scenario-planning skills with data-driven decision making
- Experience presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem and innovation communities
- Certification in technology foresight or innovation management (e.g., CFTE, MIT Fintech) preferred
