Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps for AI, quantum, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives targeting 2026 market-ready innovations
- Analyze emerging tech trends and competitive landscapes to identify strategic opportunities
- Partner with product teams to commercialize breakthrough technologies
- Secure and manage strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders
- Present technology vision and progress to executive stakeholders and investors
- Mentor a team of futurists and technology analysts
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership, with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record commercializing futuristic technologies (AI/quantum/biotech)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology, or neurotech
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to model complex technological ecosystems
- Experience securing $5M+ in innovation funding or partnerships
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism (patents, white papers, or keynotes)
- Proficiency in strategic planning frameworks and technology forecasting tools
