Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology strategy roadmap for emerging fields including AI ethics, biotech convergence, and space tech commercialization
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and domain experts to prototype and validate futuristic concepts
- Establish strategic partnerships with NASA, MIT Media Lab, and other innovation ecosystems to accelerate adoption
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive technologies with 5-10 year impact potential
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and external stakeholders through compelling data visualizations
- Manage the innovation pipeline from ideation through pilot deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Drive organizational culture of experimentation through rapid prototyping methodologies and fail-forward initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic technology planning with proven experience in emerging tech domains
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, advanced materials science, or decentralized systems
- Track record of launching commercialized technologies with $10M+ revenue impact
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to model complex technological ecosystems
- Certified in Futures Methodology (e.g., CFTE) or equivalent foresight training
- Strong network connections with leading research institutions and venture capital firms
- Experience securing government grants and public-private partnership funding
